C.J. Stroud makes being one of the top quarterbacks in the country look easy, but that isn’t to say there isn’t pressure that comes with the role.
In an interview with Fox Sports’ Matt Leinart, Stroud detailed how he handles the pressure that comes with being the leader for a top team in the country.
Stroud explains that one of the keys is not letting this best moments and the worst moments get to his head. The quarterback tries to stay level headed through it all.
“For me it’s about not riding the highs or lows, it’s about staying even keel,” Stroud said. “Not really working for any expectations, just trying to go out there and execute every single play. I just try to do my best to surround myself with great people.”
The pressure on Stroud doesn’t let up this weekend as the Buckeyes take on rival Michigan for a chance to secure the B1G East along with a potential spot in the College Football Playoff.
“I want to be known as the best. I didn’t come here to be mediocre. I just want to be the best version of myself.”
