The Cleveland Browns activated a player off of the PUP list on Monday. Former Ohio State CB Denzel Ward is 1 step closer to his recovery per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Ward has been dealing with a foot injury that he has had since July. The injury held him out of the Brown’s 1st preseason game on Friday against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The former Buckeye star led the team in interceptions (3) last season, and should once again be a reliable option at corner when healthy.

Since Ward is now activated from the PUP list, he can start practicing again. Perhaps the Browns will use him for a few snaps in their next preseason game.
The Cleveland Browns play the Philadelphia Eagles in their 2nd preseason game on Aug. 21 at 1 p.m. ET on NFL Network.
