Colin Cowherd believes he knows who is going to be on top of the college football world when the season ends. And it’s not Nick Saban and Alabama.
No, the popular FOX Sports radio and television show host believes that Ohio State is the favorite to win the national title this season. And he made that clear on his show ‘The Herd with Colin Cowherd’ on Monday.

Cowherd pointed at Ohio State’s defense as the main reason he believes the Buckeyes can win it all in 2017, even referencing Greg Schiano’s statement that OSU has the best defensive line he’s ever coached.
“Not only do I think Ohio State has a great coach, a very good quarterback and a tremendous line, but I think they matchup very well,” he said. “I think Ohio State would beat USC, Alabama and Florida State head-to-head.”
On the show, Cowherd said he thought USC, Alabama, Florida State and Ohio State were the four best teams in the country.
The Buckeyes were already predicted to finish the year 12-0 and win the B1G title by USA Today. So Cowherd’s prediction is another feather in the preseason cap for Ohio State.
