B1G fans don’t really think too highly of the SEC, but something tells me Ohio State fans aren’t going to mind what FOX Sports radio host Colin Cowherd said about the Buckeyes recently.
On Monday, Cowherd spoke highly of the Buckeyes following a 62-39 win over Michigan. And during the beatdown, the radio host said he noticed something in the game. Cowherd thought Ohio State looked more like and SEC team than a B1G team.
While Cowherd’s comment was meant as a huge compliment — one that Ohio State will gladly accept –B1G fans may not appreciate the subtle jab at the conference.
Why did Cowherd make the comparison? He believes the speed, talent, depth and athleticism is what sets the program apart from the rest of the league.
Cowherd said, essentially, Ohio State is an SEC team playing in the North.
Below is the full video of Cowherd’s comments on the Buckeyes:
"It really hit me this weekend watching Michigan-Ohio State: Ohio State looks like an SEC team… Speed, athleticism, length, depth of talent. They're the only Northern power that their ideology is Southern." — @ColinCowherd pic.twitter.com/cOZr83IqLU
