College baseball player in Indiana hits for cycle, tosses no-hitter in same game

One college baseball player had the absolute game of his life Friday evening.
The player is University of Indianapolis pitcher Brady Ware who hit for the cycle and tossed a no-hitter in a win over Drury. As separate incidents, Ware’s cycle is the first for the Greyhounds since 2013 and his no-hitter is the first for the program since 2015.
Ware is the first UIndy player to accomplish both in the same game but it is unclear how many student-athletes may have accomplished the feat.

Ware’s magical day truly started to heat up in the 2nd inning. He opened scoring for the Greyhounds with a solo home run and then added a bases-clearing triple as part of an 8-run frame.
Ware added his double in the 3rd inning while adding another RBI. A single in the 5th completed the cycle.
On the mound, Ware went the distance in the 7-inning game with 0 hits and striking out 11 batters. He did issue 5 walks on the day, but that’s not going to take away from the historical magnitude of Ware’s performance.
Here’s a look at Ware’s complete game highlights:
