College basketball fans and media took to social media to roast the Michigan Wolverines after an embarrassing home loss to McNeese State on Friday.

The Wolverines were down 40-37 at the half and ended up losing 87-76. Shahada Wells led all scorers with 30 points for the Cowboys. The Wolverines were dominated in the paint, getting outscored 42-14.

McNeese State is coached by former LSU coach Will Wade. The Cowboys have been solid this season, but this is still a tough loss for Michigan. The Wolverines are now 6-7 on the year and are looking unlikely to contend for a NCAA Tournament berth.

The Wolverines will look to get on track quickly as conference play begins next week.
