The 2020 college football regular season ended less than a week ago. But we are already in full-on bowl season. The action has been going strong this week and continues on during the Christmas holiday.
If you are looking for some college football action to help you through the next couple of days, the sport has come through. It might not be an action-packed slate of games, there are a pair of games that might be worthy of your attention.
There is just one Christmas Eve game. It’s the New Mexico Bowl, which features Hawaii and Houston. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. ET with the game set to air on ESPN. This game is usually held in New Mexico but has moved due to COVID-19. The game will be held at Toyota Stadium in Firsco, Texas.
The Rainbow Warriors enter the postseason with a 4-4 record while the Cougars are 3-4.
Houston continued on this season with its tradition of being a pass-happy offense. The Cougars are throwing for nearly 258 yards per game, which is 30th best in the country and average 32.3 points per game. That is tied for 41st best in the country.
On Christmas Day, there is plenty of sports action going on, including the Camellia Bowl. This matchup features two teams that won their respective divisions this season as Marshall takes on Buffalo at the Cramton Bowl in Montgomery, Alabama. Marshall sits at 7-2 while Buffalo is 5-1. Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m. ET on ESPN.
The Bulls enter this game with the best rushing attack in the country as they average 309.5 yards per game on the ground.
