College football projections have been updated after Week 7. There are now 9 B1G teams that CBS Sports’ Jerry Palm thinks will make it to a bowl game.
Iowa is now not in his projections. Neither is Northwestern, Rutgers, Indiana, or Nebraska. The College Football Playoff now has Georgia, Tennessee, Clemson, and Ohio State with Alabama just missing it at No. 5.
Michigan’s bowl projection has not changed from last time out. The Wolverines are still predicted to play in the Rose Bowl against a Pac-12 opponent. Palm is also still projecting Penn State to make it to the Orange Bowl.
It’ll be interesting to see what other changes are made as the season goes on. The general bowl games that the B1G is predicted to make have not changed much, but the teams playing in it have been getting shifted around a bit.
Here’s what Palm thinks bowl season will be like for the B1G:
Ohio State
- Fiesta Bowl (CFP) vs. Clemson
Michigan
- Rose Bowl vs. USC
Penn State
- Orange Bowl vs. Wake Forest
Purdue
- Citrus Bowl vs. Ole Miss
Illinois
- Music City Bowl vs. Mississippi State
Maryland
- Duke’s Mayo Bowl vs. N.C. State
Minnesota
- Pinstripe Bowl
Wisconsin
- Guaranteed Rate Bowl vs. Oklahoma
Michigan State
- Quick Lane Bowl vs. Kent State
