With success the past couple of seasons at Indiana, Tom Allen has attracted national attention. That attention, more often than not, has focused on if he would leave Bloomington for one of the blue blood programs across the country.
And now, social media reacts to the news that Allen has possibly met with Auburn. This Tweet below is tracking a flight between Auburn and Bloomington, Ind.

At 6-1 and No. 7 in the latest AP Top 25 Poll, Indiana is one of the great stories to emerge from this college football season. It shouldn’t be a surprise that Auburn, who fired Gus Malzahn this week, has interest in Allen.
After all, Allen took a doormat program and had them go toe-to-toe earlier this season with Ohio State. But that still doesn’t appear to be enough for Auburn fans, who unrealistically have higher expectations then Allen.
There’s also a few neutral observers who question Allen’s fit at a program like Auburn.
Here’s a sampling of that reaction:
1. i don’t think tom allen leaving indiana for auburn makes much since unless Stupid Money is involved
2. i’m an indiana football fan and i prepare for the worst so: if it happens, bring back deboer or kane

Auburn fans don't want Tom Allen.
I pray that their dream comes true.

Since people are talking about Tom Allen, I'll remind you the buyout if he leaves Indiana for another job is currently around $23 million.

All this Auburn talk is a good reminder that IU AD Scott Dolson needs to give Tom Allen (and staff) a raise and increase that buyout. #iufb

Gus Malzahn’s buyout: $21.45 mil
Tom Allen’s buyout: $23 milAuburn would have to spend ~$45 mil just to hire a new coach. And then have to start paying him for actually working.

Auburn is really about to spend nearly $50 million in buyout money alone, in the middle of a pandemic, for the opportunity to hire Tom Allen. That doesn’t even include salaries for him or his staff. Insanity https://t.co/WFIDCrEajM

Tom Allen interviewed for the Auburn DC job in 2015 before they landed on Steele https://t.co/3CkRamDgZ8

Just saw an Auburn fan on this website say “please not Tom Allen” and I won’t stop thinking about that all day

Flight tracker math suggests Tom Allen is talking with some Auburn folks.@ZachOsterman math suggests any team forking over $23 million to poach Allen doesn't make that a likely scenario. https://t.co/xOWbfFdACi
