Barry Switzer couldn’t let this weekend pass without getting in a shot at one of his former rivals.
On Sunday morning, the former Oklahoma coach tweeted “I’ll be Nebraska fans liked the (Big) 8 better this morning t00!” following the Huskers’ 21-17 loss to Northern Illinois on Saturday.
Switzer is referencing the days Nebraska and Oklahoma shared a home in the Big 8 conference until it dissolved and both programs eventually joined the Big XII.
I'll bet Nebraska fans liked B8 better this morning too! @OU_Football @HuskerFBNation https://t.co/31xjZ7Znqc

The legendary coach is just adding insult to injury, there.
Nebraska and Oklahoma used to have a pretty intense rivalry in both the Big 8 and Big XII days, but the two schools haven’t faced each other on the field since the 2010 Big XII title game. The Huskers bolted for the B1G following that season.
The two programs will renew their rivalry beginning in 2021 as part of a home-and-home series.
Switzer coached at Oklahoma from 1973-1988, posting a 157-29-4 record with the Sooners. He won 12 Big 8 titles and three national championships during his tenure.
He was also 12-5 against Nebraska as the head coach at Oklahoma.
