The College Football Playoff is coming back to Florida. The announcement was made Monday by CFP executive director Bill Hancock.

The 2026 title game will take place on Jan. 5. at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida. The venue also hosted the 2021 CFP National Championship between Alabama and Ohio State.

“We are delighted to return to Miami,” Hancock said. ” South Florida was a great host for the 2021 national championship game despite the event having to be scaled back because of Covid-19, and we look forward to returning in 2026 with a full complement of events and activities during national championship weekend.”

This season’s title game will be at Sofi Stadium in Inglewood, California. It was also reported that Atlanta will likely be the host for the 2025 national championship (2024 season).

This should also be good news for businesses around the Miami area. The CFP Championship Game should bring in a ton of fans and revenue, especially from those looking to escape winter in the rest of the country.
