The B1G’s best chance to reach the College Football Playoff and break a two-year streak of missing out on the semifinals rests with Ohio State and Michigan.

Well, at least according to Vegas.

On Monday, SportsBook USA updated the College Football playoff odds for next season, and it’s no surprise that Clemson (2/1) and Alabama (5/2) have the best odds to take home a championship trophy next January. Georgia was listed with the third-best odds at 7/1.

After that, a few B1G teams worked their way into the mix. Ohio State had the conference’s best odds at 10/1. Closely behind the Buckeyes was Michigan, who currently has 14/1 odds to claim a title.

Five other B1G teams were also listed: Nebraska (40/1), Wisconsin (80/1), Penn State (100/1), Iowa (100/1) and Michigan State (200/1).

The B1G has missed the College Football Playoff each of the last two years and the B1G champion has not played in a semifinal game since 2015. The conference is hoping that those streaks end in 2019.

Right now, the money is one Ohio State or Michigan to be one of the final four teams competing for a national title. We’ll see if any other teams work their way into the conversation later this season.
