College football rankings: 3 B1G teams ranked in Super 16 entering Week 6

The 2022 college football season is marching into Week 6 and Football Writers Association of America (FWAA) and the National Football Foundation (NFF) has updated their Super 16 poll.

The Big Ten has 3 teams in the latest poll. Ohio State is at No. 3, behind Alabama and Georgia. The Buckeyes received more first-place votes than the No. 1 Crimson Tide, but Alabama had more total points in this round of voting.

Michigan moved down from No. 4 to No. 5 while Penn State moved up from No. 10 to No. 9.

The Super 16 pollsters, a mix of FWAA writers and College Football Hall of Famers, were selected to create a balanced-geographical perspective. We’ll see how the rankings look after Week 6’s games, including Ohio State-Michigan State and Michigan-Indiana.
