College football’s Week 11 sets season-high mark for cancellations and postponements

The Week 11 slate of college football has been rocked hard by cancellations and postponements.
Within the B1G, Ohio State and Maryland saw their matchup canceled as the Terrapins wrestle with a COVID-19 outbreak within the program. Head coach Mike Locksley updated that situation Thursday evening with Maryland now trying to get back on the field for a Week 5 matchup with Michigan State.
In the SEC, the high-profile rivalry game between Alabama and LSU has also been postponed. There is a chance that game does not get made up, but the SEC is investigating all possibilities in regards to shuffling the schedule around to fit the game in.
The most recent domino to fall was the cancellation of Saturday’s game between North Texas and UAB. That announcement came down Thursday evening and brought the list of games canceled or postponed for the week to 11:

- No. 1 Alabama at LSU
- No. 3 Ohio State at Maryland
- No. 5 Texas A&M at Tennessee
- No. 12 Georgia at Missouri
- No. 24 Auburn at Mississippi State
- Rice at Louisiana Tech
- Memphis at Navy
- Pittsburgh at Georgia Tech
- Air Force at Wyoming
- UL Monroe at Arkansas State
