GameDay will take place before the Jackson State and Southern matchup. It is the second time this season the show has moved away from its usual Power 5 matchup.

Jackson State is undefeated and coming off a win against Campbell, while Southern sits at 5-2. Southern has controlled the rivalry for most of the decade, but Jackson State, under the tenure of NFL legend Deion Sanders, won last year’s contest.
The decision comes as three ranked matchups take place next week: No. 2 Ohio State at No. 16 Penn State, No. 19 Kentucky at No. 3 Tennessee and No. 11 Oklahoma State at No. 17 Kansas State.
The show has been to Knoxville twice this season, and could likely be heading to Athens, Georgia, next week for Tennessee vs. Georgia.
