College GameDay is making a return trip to Knoxville, Tennessee in Week 7. After previously visiting the Volunteers for the game vs. Florida, ESPN’s pre-game show returns for the Alabama vs. Tennessee matchup this weekend.
The “Third Saturday in October” is a longstanding SEC series but is one that has been dominated by Alabama. Since 2007, the Crimson Tide have won 15 straight.
Beyond the total wins, Nick Saban’s squad has dominated offensively. Alabama has scored at least 35 points in 6 straight games against the Volunteers, including 5 games of 45+ in that span.
In 2022, Tennessee is hoping a special guest picker will have some luck up his sleeve. That guest picker is former Tennessee QB and NFL star Peyton Manning, College GameDay revealed Thursday evening.

Manning threw for over 11,000 yards during his career with the Vols from 1994-97 and finished 2nd for the Heisman Trophy in 1997. He still holds Tennessee’s program record for passing yards (11,201) and passing touchdowns (89).
