Colorado reportedly fires head coach Mike MacIntyre

Another major college football coach has reportedly been fired.
Sunday morning, Pete Thamel of Yahoo! Sports reported that Colorado fired head coach Mike MacIntyre, who was in his sixth season with the program. Reports had started surfacing weeks ago that the university would move on from MacIntyre, but the athletic department denied the speculation.
Colorado was 5-6 on the season and 2-6 in Big XII play.

MacIntyre posted a 30-44 record in six seasons with the Buffaloes, leading the team to just one winning season and a lone bowl appearance. That season came in 2016, with Colorado finishing the year 10-4 and winners of the Pac-12 South.
The Buffaloes lost to Oklahoma State in Alamo Bowl.
Prior to taking over at Colorado in 2013, MacIntyre was the head coach at San Jose State, where he compiled a 16-21 record. In 2012, he led the Spartans to a 10-2 season.
According to Yahoo! Sports, MacIntyre will be owed almost $10 million by Colorado following the separation.
