When your favorite team is playing, it can be hard to control your emotions. The bigger the game, the bigger the setting, the more difficult it can be to not go overboard.

Comedian Tom Segura considers himself to be a pretty even-keeled guy. Not much affects him, whether it’s positive or negative. But when Florida State made its national championship run in 2013, beating Auburn in the BCS National Championship Game, Segura let his emotion shine.

In a video posted by ESPN, Segura explains just how excited he was to see the Seminoles (his favorite team) take home the title, and what it was like seeing Jameis Winston drive the offense down the field for a game-winning touchdown.

As you might expect, it’s a pretty great story.

That title game between Florida State and Auburn is considered to be one of the best championship contests of the BCS era. It was an incredible way to end the era before college football shifted to the playoff format.

Segura got a pretty good story out of the victory, too.
