Controversial finish? Tyler Johnson draws pass interference penalty to send Bucs to Super Bowl

Former Minnesota WR Tyler Johnson ended up playing a huge role in the NFC Championship Game.
With under two minutes remaining, Johnson drew a pass interference penalty to move the chains and virtually clinch Tampa Bay’s spot in the Super Bowl.

There’s a clear jersey grab from Packers defensive back Kevin King. However, some fans argued that the ball was uncatchable and that it was inconsistent with other calls made (or not made) throughout the game.
Regardless, the call was made and it results in Johnson and the Bucs heading to the Super Bowl in two weeks time.
Johnson had one catch in this game for 16 yards, but it came on a key third down in the second half. He saw increased playing time in this game because of an injury to Antonio Brown.

Johnson was a fifth round pick by the Bucs in the 2020 NFL draft. During his rookie season, he caught 12 passes for 169 yards and two touchdowns.
The Bucs will face either the Bills or the Chiefs in the Super Bowl on Feb. 7.
