Gareon Conley went in the first round after all.
After all the talk about how far Conley would fall in the draft with rape allegations, the former Ohio State cornerback went No. 24 overall to the Oakland Raiders.
Conley was originally projected as a first-round pick until reports of his rape allegations surfaced on Tuesday. He overcame that after reportedly submitting a lie detector test and passing it.

Conley has not been charged of rape and no arrests have been made, but the investigation is still ongoing. He released a statement saying that multiple witnesses would prove his innocence.
In the end, Conley cashed in on his standout career as a multi-year starter, in addition to his impressive combine performance.
With Conley’s selection, Ohio State made a little history, as well.
