His first year with the Nebraska Cornhuskers program, running back Dedrick Mills is enjoying the simpler pace of life in Lincoln.
Mills caught up with Dan Corey of 1011 News to explain what he appreciates about the great people of Nebraska:

A native of Waycross, Georgia, Mills originally enrolled at Georgia Tech and played for the Yellow Jackets in 2016. Georgia Tech’s leading-rusher that season with 771 yards in just nine games, Mills was dismissed from the program due to a violation of team rules in August 2017.
Spending 2017-18 with Garden City Community College in Garden City, Kansas, he committed to Scott Frost’s program in September 2018.
Even while splitting carriers with sophomore Maurice Washington, Mills has led the Cornhuskers in rushing in two of their three games in 2019. He had 116 yards on 11 carries in Nebraska’s 44-8 victory over Northern Illinois, including a 24-yard touchdown run in the second quarter.
Mills and the Cornhuskers (2-1) will travel to Champaign for their B1G opener vs. Illinois (2-1) on Saturday (8:00PM ET, BTN).
