On Sunday afternoon, the No. 22 Michigan Wolverines pulled off a win against No. 8 Ohio State 84-72 in Ann Arbor.

That win was impressive not only for what it means for this year, but for what it means for the two hated rivals’ all-time matchup.

With Sunday’s win, the Wolverines evened the rivalry when both men’s basketball teams are ranked in the AP Poll. Interestingly, the two Big Ten powerhouses are also an even 20-20-4 when playing football while both ranked:

The next potential meeting of the two teams would come in the Big Ten Tournament, but it remains to be seen if they play in that event, or if they’re both ranked.

Still, the above graphic shows just how intense this rivalry is, as neither team has the upper hand in intense, ranked games.
