Curtis Jacobs, key Penn State LB, reveals plans on 2023 season

Curtis Jacobs is a key piece of the Penn State defense and a playmaker from the linebacker position. On Tuesday, he announced his official plans to return for the 2023 season.

Jacobs was the team’s third-leading tackler with 52 total tackles. He also added 7.5 TFL, 4 sacks, an interception and a forced fumble.

Jacobs’ decision adds to a Penn State defense that also received the news Adisa Isaac would return for 2023. Along with star freshman Abdul Carter, the Nittany Lion defense has some pieces to build around as the program moves into next season.

Jacobs began his career as a 4-star prospect via the 2020 recruiting class. He has been a major contributor through the 2021-22 seasons and has 122 tackles, 15 TFL, 7 sacks, 2 interceptions and a forced fumble.
