Dad of top recruit accidentally spills decision moments before commitment announcement

Jalil Tucker is a 4-star prospect and one of the top recruits in the nation for the class of 2022. And like most top prospects, Tucker recently had an announcement special ready for Friday evening.
His family had gathered, the news crew was there, all that was missing was Tucker’s announcement. But prior to his announcement, a reporter with KUSI News interviewed Tucker’s dad to ask him a few questions.
Unfortunately, that’s when things went a bit sideways:
“I’m happy for him, he’s a good kid,” Tucker’s dad told the reporter. “Lazy, but he’s a good kid. And I know he’s going to represent Oregon well.”
Whoops! That’s right, Tucker’s dad was ultimately the one to spill the beans about his son’s commitment.

Hey, at least you can bet Tucker – and his family – will always remember this moment! Regardless of the slipup, Tucker is now a member of Oregon’s 2022 recruiting class. He is the No. 6 athlete nationally on the composite rankings and is the 144th overall recruit in the country.
