DaeSean Hamilton, a former star receiver at Penn State who ended his career as Penn State’s all-time leader in receptions, left Tuesday’s Houston Texans practice with an apparent right knee injury.

Hamilton, who is coming off of a torn ACL last year, was helped to a cart to take him off the field, Aaron Wilson of Pro Football Network reported.

Hamilton at Penn State caught at least one pass in 34 straight games to begin his career, and has since played in the NFL since 2018, starting with the Denver Broncos. The Broncos released him last year after he suffered a torn ACL when he worked out on his own, and missed the whole season.

Hamilton in his career has made 81 catches of 833 yards and 5 touchdowns. His best season came in 2018 as a rookie when he made 30 catches for 243 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Hamilton’s Penn State career had several highlights, including him being the career leader in bowl game touchdown receptions (4) and tied for the single game receiving touchdowns record (2), equaling the marks of Bobby Engram (2; 1996 Outback) and Chris Godwin (2; 2017 Rose).

Hamilton was drafted by Denver in the fourth round (113th overall) of the 2018 NFL Draft, Hamilton spent 4 seasons (2018-21) with the Broncos, and appeared in 46 games with 9 starts.
