Johnson looked as if he would be getting more minutes heading into Year 3 before reverting to a bench player for most of the latter part of the schedule. He missed 9 straight games from early February to early March and contributed mostly in the non-conference schedule.
With his role on the team diminishing and a potential for head coach Micah Shrewsberry to take the Notre Dame job, it’s no surprise as to why Johnson has entered the portal.
