Dan Hartleb became Illinois baseball’s all-time winningest head coach Sunday evening with an 11-1 win over Michigan. In doing so, the Illini avoided the weekend sweep by the Wolverines.

Hartleb, who has been head coach since 2006, earned his 519th win Sunday thanks in part to catcher Jacob Schroeder, who totaled 3 hits in 5 at-bats with 4 RBI.

Hartleb passed Lee Eilbracht with in No. 519 Sunday.

The 17-year Illinois coaching veteran has finished under .500 just once in his first season with the program. The Illini are currently 12-12 on the season following their win over the Wolverines.

The Illini are back in action Tuesday against Illinois State.
