Dan Lanning on Tuesday revealed that Oregon wide receiver Jurrion Dickey has been “indefinitely suspended” for a violation of team rules.

“We’ve got two team rules: be respectful and be on time,” Lanning said, according to Oregon beat writer Zachary Neel. There are some pieces of that where I felt like he needed a break from us, and we needed a break from him, so we can focus on what’s in front of us right now.”

Dickey, a former 5-star recruit, has been with the program since 2023 as he signed with the Ducks as the No. 18 player and No. 2 wide receiver in the class, according to 247Sports’ composite ratings.

There’s another player that won’t be with the Ducks for the foreseeable future, and possibly won’t be on the field for a while: Trey McNutt, a true freshman rated as the No. 4 safety in the country.

McNutt has broken his leg, and according to Neel, Lanning is “hopeful for (a) return this year” while “not putting a timeline on it right now.”

The Ducks came in at No. 7 on the AP Poll released on Monday. The defending Big Ten champions fell in the Rose Bowl quarterfinal against Ohio State in the 2024 season.
