Dan Lanning was in the perfect place to reveal the theme for Oregon’s 2025 season.

Lanning was in Las Vegas on Wednesday for Day 2 of Big Ten Media Days. The Oregon coach feels like he was dealt 11 going into the 2025 season.

“Our theme for this team is double down,” Lanning told reporters. “We’ve done an unbelievable job of building this team over time. You look at our success season to season and as this team has grown, the process works. We’re close. We’ve been able to accomplish a lot. That’s really what’s going to feed our program this offseason.”

No one’s going to argue with Lanning doubling down on the process that has produced an Oregon record of 35-6 over the past 3 seasons, with a Big Ten championship and College Football Playoff berth in 2024.

Lanning’s process is heavily influenced by his years working under 2 of the most successful coaches of the Playoff era, Nick Saban (2015, Alabama) and Kirby Smart (2018-21, Georgia).
