Dan Mullen knows as well as anyone that quarterbacks get the most attention. As an ESPN analyst, Mullen likes to give the other players some love.

On Tuesday, Mullen shared his top non-QB performers of Week 5. Ohio State RB Miyan Williams made the list.

In his third-career start, Williams logged 21 carries for 189 yards and 5 touchdowns in Ohio State’s 49-10 win over Rutgers on Saturday in Columbus. All 3 numbers are career highs for the third-year Buckeye ball carrier.

Williams’ biggest highlight of the day was a 70-yard touchdown run. That run is 1 yard shy of his career high.

On the season, Williams is up to 64 carries for 497 yards. Williams is the Big Ten’s leader in yards per carry with an average of 7.7.

Williams and the Buckeyes are on the road in Week 6 at Michigan State.
