Dan Mullen, a former SEC head coach and current analyst for ESPN, released his weekly top 10 Sunday morning following an exciting Week 8 slate.

There were some major wins in college football that will have some major implications moving forward. North Carolina fell to Virginia out of nowhere, Oklahoma very nearly fell victim to the same fate against UCF and Ohio State beat Penn State in a rock fight to remain perfect on the season.

Mullen must have been impressed with the Buckeyes’ win over the Nittany Lions, because he jumped the Buckeyes up from No. 6 last week all the way to No. 1 this week following their win over No. 7.

Michigan ranks 3rd in Mullen’s latest top 10 and Penn State fell out of the top 10 entirely. Notably, Mullen has Georgia ranked No. 6.

Resume-wise, there aren’t many teams in the country that can match the Buckeyes. Ohio State has scored wins over Notre Dame in South Bend and now against Penn State. However, some will argue the Buckeyes don’t quite pass the eye test.

And still, the Buckeyes find ways to remain undefeated. Let’s see if they can keep it that way heading into the final and most important game of the season against Michigan.
