Ohio State is going to focus on what they can control when it comes to the College Football Playoff, as they get face Northwestern in the B1G title game.
However, some outside help could certainly make a difference.
If Alabama defeats Florida in the SEC title game, that would boost Ohio State’s CFP chances. Florida in all likelihood wouldn’t make the CFP with three losses. When asked about Florida’s CFP odds if they upset Alabama, Gators coach Dan Mullen offered a bold prediction on the contest.

Alabama has defeated Florida in the last 6 meetings between the teams, including the 2015 and 2016 SEC Championship Games.
Florida’s two losses came against No. 5 Texas A&M in Week 3 and last week vs. LSU. Ohio State is 5-0 with three games cancelled due to COVID-19 concerns but the B1G changed its rules to allow them into the conference championship game.
