Dan Patrick reports B1G preparing to cancel football season, only two schools voted in favor of playing
The B1G is prepared to pull the plug on the 2020 college football season.
On Monday, Dan Patrick reported that, according to his source, the B1G and Pac-12 will cancel their football seasons this week. Patrick was specific, saying that it’s going to be announced on Tuesday.
This comes after B1G presidents and chancellors met twice over the weekend to discuss the fall sports season.
” The B1G and Pac-12 will cancel their football seasons tomorrow,” Patrick said. “The ACC and Big 12 are on the fence. The SEC is trying to get a delay to have teams join them. The SEC is looking at exclusive TV contracts.”

Patrick also said that his source told him that representatives from three B1G programs he’s spoken with have said “it’s done.” Also according to Patrick, only two schools voted in favor of playing the college football season: Iowa and Nebraska.
This news comes after the MAC became the first FBS conference to cancel the fall sports season and start looking towards the spring.
