It is the first NFL Sunday of the year! All 32 teams have hopes and dreams of making it to Phoenix, Arizona, for the Super Bowl. Plenty of former B1G playmakers will be suited up in a professional uniform today for the first time.

That is no different for former star wide receiver David Bell who played for the Purdue Boilermakers from 2019-2021. The 6-foot-2, 205-pound wide receiver played in 29 games, catching the ball 232 times for 2,946 yards and 21 touchdowns. He also had a rushing touchdown in his time with Purdue.

Bell was selected 99th overall in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft by the Cleveland Browns. The Purdue social media team wished Bell good luck right ahead of his debut.

Last season the Boilermakers had another star receiver drafted in Rondale Moore, who now plays for the Arizona Cardinals. It will be interesting to see what playmakers Purdue churns out to NFL talent this season.

The Browns head on the road to start the season to face the Carolina Panthers at 1:00 p.m. EST. You can see the game on CBS. The Browns have the longest opening-week losing streak as they are 0-16-1.
