David Bell will move on from the NFL Combine with some critics after his performance in positional workouts.
On Thursday, Bell took to the 40-yard dash but was less than impressive. Bell came in at 4.64 (unofficial) and received an official time of 4.65.
That was a mark that put Bell toward the bottom of the position group when all the times were finalized.

Johnny Johnson: 4.60
Dai’Jean Dixon: 4.62
David Bell: 4.65
Dontario Drummond: 4.65
Devon Williams: 4.65
Slade Bolden: 4.66— Tom Downey (@WhatGoingDowney) March 4, 2022
The Draft Network had Bell as the loser of the position group as a result of that slow time. Here’s what they had to say following Bell’s day:
Yikes. A wideout whose film will remain his calling card, David Bell was underwhelming all day long in all three tests. While Super Bowl MVP Cooper Kupp ran a similar time (4.61) compared to Bells’ 4.65 at the combine back in 2017, let’s not get ahead of ourselves. While he was looked upon as a guy that could come off the board early in the second round, Bell disappointed today and his stock could take a hefty hit.
While Bell was going to have some critics, he maintains a strong body of work that will be pointed to leading up to the draft. Whether or not his work at the Combine sees his stock take a hit remains to be seen.
