David Pollack breaks down Ohio State’s key playmakers for CFP semifinal with Georgia

Pollack praised Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud for his production and consistency over the past two seasons during a segment on ESPN.

The analyst and former first-round pick was even bold enough to call the junior gunslinger the nation’s top passer despite playing for the No. 4 team in the nation.

“When you look at Ohio State. C.J. Stroud is the best passer in college football when he knows the answer and he can get the ball out quick,” Pollack said. “Marvin Harrison Jr., he’s the best receiver in football.”

The combination of Stroud to Harrison Jr. dominated the B1G this past fall with Jaxon Smith-Njigba missing nearly the entire season due to a hamstring injury.

The passing attack will be key for Ohio State if it hopes to upset the No. 1 Bulldogs in what basically will be a home game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The winner will face either No. 2 Michigan or No. 3 TCU for a shot at the national title at SoFi Stadium on Jan. 9.

The Peach Bowl kicks off at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN on New Year’s Eve.
