Deion Sanders addresses perceived interest in Power 5 coaching jobs

Deion Sanders landed the Jackson State head coaching job ahead of the 2020 season. Now, after some strong results on the field and a strong track record in recruiting, Sanders is dealing with his name getting floated for Power 5 openings.
Though Auburn still has a head coach in Bryan Harsin, Sanders’ name has been linked to the Tigers should they make a change. Georgia Tech, Arizona State and even Nebraska are Power 5 teams with openings that could potentially make a push for Sanders.
So, does Sanders have an actual interest in making the jump to the Power 5? During an interview for CBS’ 60 Minutes, Sanders admitted he’s going to have to “entertain” Power 5 offers, saying he’d “be a fool not to.”
“I’m going to have to entertain it,” Sanders said via 247 Sports. “Yes, I’m going to have to entertain it, straight up. I’d be a fool not to.”
He went on to say his focus is purely on winning and dominating as a coach. According to Sanders, that’s a part of his DNA no matter where he’s at:
“I’ve got to win in every facet of life. That’s what winning is,” Sanders explained. “Baby, we’re a winner. We smell like winners around here. When you saw us on the practice field and we first met, you could feel that you shook the hand of a winner. You felt that. I knew dern well you called somebody and said I just met Coach Prime and he’s magnetic. I’m going to win and not only am I going to win, I’m going to dominate. That’s what I do. That’s who I am.”
