Dele Harding adds to impressive second-half performance with huge pick-6

Illinois has flipped the script on Rutgers in the second half, and Dele Harding is a big part of that performance.
After entering halftime tied 10-all, the Illini have hit the gas out of the break. Lovie Smith’s squad has scored 28-unanswered points to seize control of the game with Harding providing two important turnovers.
The first was a fumble he forced near midfield. It proved important as the offense drove down and scored off of it. The second was a beautiful pick-six.

On the play, Harding sat in coverage in the middle of the field. Rutgers quarterback Johnny Langan never picked him up with Harding easily picking the throw over the middle.
From there, Harding was off down the sideline without anyone able to lay a hand on him. The play likely put a third straight win on ice for the Illini:
