Deonte Banks snagged his first career interception in the NFL Sunday afternoon for the New York Giants against the Washington Commanders.

Banks, a former Maryland defensive back, made a great over-the-shoulder catch, picking off Commanders QB Sam Howell.

The bank is closed:

Banks may not have had his first INT on the year until now, but he’s had an incredible rookie season. The former Terp has 4 pass deflections to go alongside 16 tackles.

Banks was obviously well worth the first round pick the Giants used on him this past offseason. Last season in college Banks totaled 8 pass deflections with 1 interception and 25 solo tackles, a good number for a defensive back.

New York leads Washington 14-0. Tyrod Taylor found Saquon Barkley for a 32-yard score following Banks’ interception.
