Desmond Howard reacts to news of Jim Harbaugh suspension

Desmond Howard is not happy with Jim Harbaugh’s 3-game suspension.
The ESPN College GameDay host and former Michigan wide receiver gave his thoughts on the suspension Friday, calling out the Big Ten for coming after Michigan.
“I think that you look at the commissioner and his statement and what he’s put out there, the hypocrisy is what grabs me,” Howard said. “It’s like if it’s Michigan, it’s ‘sign-stealing.’ If it’s someone else, it’s ‘sign-decoding.’ If it’s Michigan it’s ‘in-person scouting.’ If it’s someone else, it’s ‘coaches sharing information from the goodness of their hearts.'”
It was announced Friday that Harbaugh would face disciplinary action that would keep him off of the sidelines for Michigan’s final 3 games of the season, including 2 crucial matchups against Penn State and Ohio State.
Howard believes that the suspension punishes Michigan’s players as much as it does the head coach.
“To pull him off the sidelines for the Penn State game, for the Maryland game and for the Ohio State game, it’s a shot at the players,” Howard said. “I’m just so disappointed. I feel for the players.”
Michigan will play its first of 3 games without Harbaugh on Saturday against Penn State.
