Well, it didn’t take long for ESPN to act on Desmond Howard’s vulgar comment uttered during College GameDay on Saturday morning.

During a segment on the Week 0 production of College GameDay, the former Heisman Trophy winner-turned college football analyst made an oddly vulgar comment. The phrase “Is Desmond Howard gonna have to choke a (expletive),” came from Howard, causing an awkward scene on the GameDay set.

Shortly after that, Howard apologized for his comments, saying he is a big fan of Wayne Brady and it was meant as a joke.

“Earlier today in the show, I’m a big Wayne Brady fan and I made a comment that was supposed to be taken as a joke,” Howard said. “If I offended anybody, I apologize. We can move on with the show.”

To make matters worse, College GameDay was filming at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom theme park.

Howard hasn’t had many slip ups on air, but ESPN probably still isn’t happy considering the setting. We’ll see if the company takes any further action against Howard moving forward.
