Desmond King was surprisingly cut by the Houston Texans on Monday, but he was quick to find a new landing spot.
On Wednesday a report from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport revealed that the former Iowa DB is expected to be heading to Pittsburgh, where he will crack the Steelers’ 53-man roster.
This is a strong addition for the Steelers. King started every preseason game for the Texans this preseason and ran with the 1st teams throughout training camp. He’s been in the league 6 years and is still putting up strong numbers, so the Steelers should retain strong production.
King also notched 5 interceptions across 2 seasons for the Texans, which have sat at the bottom of the league for 3 straight seasons.
Former #Texans CB Desmond King is expected to sign with the #Steelers 53-man roster, source said. A solid landing spot.
