Dave Wannstedt wasn’t impressed with Oklahoma’s win over Texas in the Big XII Championship Game. And if Ohio State wins the B1G Championship Game, he still believes the Buckeyes are worthy of the fourth spot in the College Football Playoff.
Oklahoma entered Saturday’s game as the No. 5 team in the country and Ohio State was tabbed as No. 6. With Georgia’s loss to Alabama, either the Sooners or the Buckeyes will move up.
While most believe Oklahoma is the team that will occupy that fourth spot now, Wannstedt says the Buckeyes are actually the more deserving team.
“I would take Ohio State,” Wannstedt said. “I think Ohio State is the better team. That’s just my feeling. I think they have a great chance of getting in.”

Ohio State could make a strong argument with a blowout win over Northwestern. They could also get some help from Clemson, should Pitt pull off a miracle upset.
First, the Buckeyes need a win over the Wildcats. Otherwise, they won’t be in any College Football Playoff conversation.
