Big news came out of the SEC this week, when the University of Alabama announced that head coach Nick Saban tested positive for COVID-19, putting his status in jeopardy for Saturday’s game between the second-ranked Crimson Tide and No. 3 Georgia.
ESPN college football analyst Desmond Howard believes that Saban will be coaching for Saturday’s colossal showdown, though. And he said as much in a post on Twitter on Friday morning.
I believe Nick Saban will be on the field coaching tomorrow. Enjoy your Friday.

When Saban tested positive for the virus earlier this week, the head coach went immediately home and had offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian oversee operations in his absence. However, Saban was running practice from home.
If Saban continues to test positive and is unable to attend the game, he will not be permitted to have communication with players or coaches during Saturday’s game against Georgia. It’s a big matchup with SEC and College Football Playoff implications.
We’ll see if Saban is able to return to the sideline for Saturday night’s showdown.
