Details for Illinois’ high profile matchup with Baylor have been announced.

The Illini will take on the No. 2 Bears on Dec. 2 and the game will be televised on ESPN.

The game will be played at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. Fans will not be permitted due to COVID-19 protocols.

The matchup is part of the Jimmy V Classic and will also feature big-time games between Kentucky and Kansas on Dec. 1 and Gonzaga and Tennessee on Dec. 2.

Both Illinois and Baylor have a preseason All-American — Ayo Dosunmu for the Illini and Jared Butler for the Bears.

Baylor is the No. 1 team in the country according to KenPom.com’s preseason rankings.

A complete Big Ten conference schedule could come as soon as Wednesday, according to Nebraska AD Bill Boos.
