Devon Matthews accepts invitation to postseason talent showcase

Devon Matthews is heading to the 2023 Tropical Bowl this postseason. The Indiana football account on Twitter posted the news.

Matthews played in 12 games for the Hoosiers this season with 66 total tackles, 3 tackles for loss, and 1 interception. Matthews ended up finishing third on the team in total tackles and tied for second in interceptions.

Indiana had a 4-8 finish to the regular season and did not qualify for a bowl game.

The event is normally held at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida. The Tropical Bowl showcases the talents of the top seniors in college football from around the country to NFL scouts. 350 Tropical Bowl alumni have gone on to play in the NFL at some point.

The Tropical Bowl will take place on Jan. 21, 2023 at 3 p.m. ET. Indiana fans who want to watch Matthew and other top seniors from college football can tune in via a livestream of the game at the Varsity Sports Network website.
