Dick Butkus was a phenomenal football player in the NFL. We all know that.
But in college, he played at Illinois from 1962-64 and was third in Heisman Trophy voting in 1964. He was that dominant.

Last week, he was celebrated with his own statue thanks to his time with the Fighting Illini. This week, Butkus is making his presence felt at Illinois in a different way.
The team put together a homecoming video for Illinois’ game against Wisconsin on Saturday, Oct. 19. Kickoff is set for noon ET and the game will be televised on BTN.
