Dick Vitale breaks down keys to Purdue-St. Peter’s Sweet 16 matchup

Friday night, one of the preseason Final Four favorites and the darling of March Madness will meet in Philadelphia in a Sweet 16 showdown. Purdue is looking to reach the pinnacle of college basketball for the first time since 1980 while St. Peter’s hopes its Cinderella story will continue.

Before the Friday night showdown, college basketball legend Dick Vitale provided a breakdown of the matchup between the Boilermakers and Peacocks.

Vitale pointed to Purdue’s size on the interior — primarily focusing on Zach Edey and Trevion Williams. He believes both guys having big games will lead to success for the Boilers.

For St. Peter’s, it comes down to playing tough against one of the premier teams in the country. The Peacocks showed toughness in wins over Kentucky and Murray State in the first two rounds.
