DJ Turner had a big season as a key piece of Michigan’s secondary. On Friday, he announced his plans for the 2023 NFL Draft.

A 3-star member of the 2019 recruiting class, Turner led the Wolverines with 10 pass breakups in 2022. He added 36 tackles and an interception to help lead a defense that allowed 16.1 points per game, a mark that ranks 7th nationally.

Turner announced he will forego his remaining eligibility and enter this year’s draft:

“First, I would like to thank God for blessing me with the ability to play the sport I love because, without Him, none of this would be possible,” wrote Turner.

“Since the age of six, I have always dreamed of one day playing in the NFL. With that being said, I have chosen to forego my final years of eligibility and enter the 2023 NFL Draft. Finally, thank you to the best fans in the country for all your support over the years in the Big House.”

Turner leaves the program with 69 tackles, 17 pass breakups, 3 interceptions and 2 TFL.
