The Wall Street Journal could have gone for the kill of the Jim Harbaugh era at Michigan after the Wolverines’ 49-11 loss to Wisconsin on Saturday.

Apparently that seemed too much like low-hanging fruit for columnist Jason Gay.

Instead, this is what appeared in the latest print version of the Wall Street Journal:

Sometimes, less is more.

Harbaugh does appear to be nearing the end of the road for his tenure as Michigan’s head coach. The Wolverines have now lost three straight games in stunning fashion. Harbaugh has just one year remaining on his contract.

Against the Gophers, it was particularly bad. Michigan only gained 219 yards of offense and only ran 45 plays. Quarterback Joe Milton threw two nightmare interceptions. Leading rusher Zach Charbonnet gained only 21 yards.

The Wolverines currently sit at 1-3 and have just four games remaining: Rutgers, Penn State, Maryland and Ohio State. After this week’s game against the Scarlett Knights, it’s possible Michigan won’t be favored again this season.

Michigan and Rutgers will kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET on Saturday.
